While some young homeless adults can achieve rapid re-housing and self-sufficiency, the chronically homeless often need long-term support.

The YWCA offers one-bedroom affordable dormitory-style permanent housing for low-income single women ages 18-24 pursuing a life of stability and independence. Learn more

YWCA HOUSTON CHOICES

YWCA works in partnership with the community to create a healthy and sustainable environment for individuals and families. If you are single, a single parent with children, or a two-parent family, you may be eligible for the YWCA’s income-based permanent housing which offers one, two-and three-bedroom apartments. YWCA Houston provides furnishings, rental assistance, utility deposits, and the necessary security deposits to rebuild a home. Priority is given to young adults ages 18-24. Learn more

YWCA HOUSTON WYNDOWS PROJECT

THE WYNDOWS PROJECT will provide 24-hour emergency assessment center and housing for 15 women ages 18 and older who are victims of human trafficking. Our emergency housing center will provide a safe and secure environment staffed by trained experts offering comprehensive and trauma-informed care. By providing housing and support to these women on their healing journey, YWCA Houston will help them advance to a life of sustainable freedom.  Learn more
