 No one gets excited about Blindness. Amputation. Dialysis. And, no one can decrease your chances of getting it, except YOU.

Right now, you’re overweight, stressed, and have been labeled “Pre-Diabetic”. You’re sad (how did this happen?), embarrassed (why can’t I get this under control?), and scared (what am I gonna do?). And rightfully so. This is scary stuff. But darling, it’s ok. It’s not too late for you to turn it around. In fact, now is the perfect (and only) time to. 

 

Look, Let’s be real! You probably tried diets in the past and couldn’t stick to them. On the wagon one day, off the wagon the next. Consistency has never been your thing.

Have known for a while that a lifestyle change was on the horizon. You haven’t been feeling all that great- you’re tired, unmotivated, generally kind of blah. You don’t want to feel like this anymore and think maybe this is your time to finally make some changes.

Feel a little lost, like, “Who am I and how did I get here?”. You used to be active and fit, and now you barely recognize yourself. You’ve been so busy taking care of everyone else that you forgot to take care of you.

And the truth is, you want to feel good! You want to look in the mirror and LOVE what you see. You want deep friendships with people who inspire you and lift you up. You want your body to be healthy and strong.

And in a year from now you want to say “HECK YEAH! I am so glad I made these changes. I’m happier and healthier than EVER!”.

What is it?

Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life. is a life-changing group program for Pre-Diabetic people that will help you transition to a healthier lifestyle, reduce your risk of diabetes (and the slew of other health complications that come with it), and help you reconnect to yourself to create a life that you love.

And, it’s legit. Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life. is evidence based and promoted by the American Medical Association and Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It is a structured intervention that can cut the risk of Type 2 diabetes IN HALF.

It’s more than an eating plan, it’s an experience. It’s the year-long program that you’ll be talking about for the rest of your life. It’s a total game changer.

How it works

Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life. participants will be assigned a group, a start date, and a {lifestyle coach}

For the first 6 months, you will meet with your coach (as a group) once a week, then you’ll have a 6-month-long maintenance period where you’ll meet 2-3 times per month.

Each group will have a trained Lifestyle Coach who guides you through the program using a ‘participant-centered’ coaching style which will take your individual needs into account.

You’ll weigh-in at your group meetings and self-monitor your food intake and physical activity between sessions (yeah it’s annoying, but research shows that self-monitoring is the BIGGEST PREDICTOR of weight loss! #worthit)

You’ll learn how to make important changes that can help delay or prevent type 2 diabetes (think: losing a modest amount of weight, increasing your activity levels, and managing your stress!).

The Weekly Breakdown

Weeks 1-7: The Basics

During the first 7 weeks of Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life., you’ll learn more about nutrition and health than ever before. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about how to properly nourish your body with delicious, satisfying foods to set you up for success for the next year (and beyond!).

Weeks 8 - 10: Taking Your New Lifestyle to the Streets

!Now that you’ve got the basics down pat, you’re ready for the next level! Over the next few weeks you’ll learn how to deal with the elements in your environment (I’m not talking about the weather!) that stand in the way of your lifestyle change. You’ll learn to understand your body’s cues, food triggers, and strategies to change habits, and make the best of whatever situation you find yourself in (aka you don’t have to fear the party platters).

Weeks 11 - 16: Mind Over Menu!

Next, we’ll explore the psychological issues related to weight loss and long-term change. You’ll learn how to cope with negative thoughts and ‘slips’ from healthy eating, how to prevent and cope with stress, the effects of social cues, and ways to stay motivated (WOO!).

6 Maintenance Period!

The second half of the program will be completely tailored to the group’s needs. Every couple of weeks you’ll get together with your group to keep up accountability and check in. We’ll reinforce your lifestyle changes and keep you on the path to reaching your wellness goals.

What you'll get

Over 20 Group Coaching Sessions where the magic will happen! You’ll learn everything you need to know about health and nutrition as well as cooking tips, lifestyle hacks, and planning for the present and future.

Accountability like you’ve never experienced before! The group format of this program means that for 12 whole months, you will be meeting with a group of people who are invested in your transformation. Your coach will be there for you when things get tricky and will help you stay consistent and reach your goals. There’s no hiding in Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life.

Group support that makes all the difference. Change Your Lifestyle. Change Your Life. takes the isolation component out of your transition. Instead of being the one person in your friend group who is making healthy changes, you’re now part of a community of people who are determined to treat their bodies with love and kindness. The connections you will make will likely be lifelong friendships.
