YWCA Houston

Empower

Youth empowerment is a process where children and young people are encouraged to take charge of their lives. They do this by addressing their situation and then act to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes.

At the YWCA of Houston, we foster this process throughout the year through programs designed to empower youth ages 12-18 with the ability to improve their self-esteem, self-confidence, leadership and social skills.

Learn more about our programs and contact us to schedule your child, school, or youth program to participate! Contact Rhonda James, Director of Programs at 713-640-6819 or rjames@ywcahouston.org for more information.
